Recordings
Doug Schneider appears on over one hundred recordings for various professional musical ensembles and musicians. Doug started his recording career by composing and recording music for various promotional videos for the 3M corporation after his college years, and he has been involved in studio work ever since. A highlight of his recording career is the CD American Breath with classical saxophonist Russell Peterson, who is a winner of the World Saxophone Competition. David Maslanka, whose Sonata for Alto Saxophone and Piano appears on that recording, said “Pianist Doug Schneider is also amazing - a matched pair for this enormous piece” in an interview for The Saxophone Journal. Another review of that CD by Gramophone mentioned that “Pianist Douglas Schneider is a full-blooded partner in chamber music."
Because of Mr. Schneider’s unusually quick sight-reading ability and also his experience with so many styles of music, he is often a first-call keyboardist for various groups and individuals. Not only is his quality and depth of musicianship outstanding; he also saves clients’ time and money with his skills and speed. He is available for all levels of recording needs, from commercial work in the studio to recording with musicians out of his acoustically friendly home.
“Brilliant improvisation, virtuosic technique, reliable and impeccable performance from Doug Schneider, consummate musician and the nicest guy you’ll ever meet!”
